wha!

Today B and I celebrated our two year wedding anniversary with a nice picnic on the bluff overlooking a fickle left.

The scenery was incredible. Light offshore winds, hardly any clouds in the sky, warm and wha!-perfect waves. Man I was both stoked and bummed. Sad that I wasn't out there but psyched to see a cat who is perhaps the best surfer in the Maritimes rip the place. There were six guys out, including buddy, and they were gingerly trading waves and having a good time.

We had a really nice meal and a bottle of wine and enjoyed an amazing Nova Scotia summer evening. Life is grand.

ps. I did get out yesterday for the arrival of this swell, produced by the third Atlantic tropical storm of the season. I surfed for almost four hours yesterday and got it as good or better than the waves in today's photos.

buddy post sesh

oh yeah, this is the cover of SBC Surf, Canada's only surf rag. I was lucky enough to get an article published in this issue. Pick one up if you can.

Good on you Ras...Congrats on the anniversary, the picnic... and the will power to stay out of the water. Scored a few brownie points there I think...

that's a nice compliment on the photos coming from you Gazelle. Your photos are always great.

Mick I think you're right about the brownie points, but man it was hard to watch those perfect lefts peeling and not be able to paddle out.
