unused

here lies my unused quiver of surfboards. maybe the waves will come back again soon. my last session was May 18th with Blacks at a nasty left with nastier offshores. I need to paddle before I forget how.

dims

-green machine - 6'4" x 21" x 2.5" -EPS with 6x6x6 glass. Solid and fun
-1st generation biofoam - 6'6" x 20.5" x 2 3/8" biofoam and Epoxy with 6x6x6 a little heavy but goes well
-Biofoam 5 fin bonzer - 6'6" - new generation biofoam with a lighter glass job. Feels really good under my arm but has yet to see the North Atlantic.
-Pink mini-gun - 6'8" x 20.25 Clark Foam "Green" with triple six glass. A little small with all the rubber on and needs big waves. Probably gets surfed once or twice a year now. Stencil by B.

All boards were custom made for me by Tom Neilson.

Yet another reminder that: 1) I gotta start posting again, 2) I gotta prepare a long-promised quiver post, and 3) surf no matter what everychance I get to go to the beach. Because at least with no surf, you have an excuse (and you've riding singlespeed to keep it real).

I have no excuses (other than with the son of tres_arboles playing all-star baseball this summer, the family's focus has been more on the diamonds than the peaks). But it seems like every time I get to the beach these days, it's to put the hammer down on one trade or another and it keeps me out of the water.

I know, how lame to complain about the end game for a nearly completed beach house. I know I should be thankful and look forward to the good times coming. You can lambast me with all your heart for complaining. But extreme stress (and building a house from scratch is a stress guarantee) combined with no surf makes tres_arboles a complete asshole.

By the way, I'm with Mick; I think the stencil's cool. Reminds me of one of the best ever bands: the Clash.

That's a solid quiver. Simple yet effective, covering everything from knee high to double overhead+. Makes me think I need to trim mine down a bit.

I still love the mini-gun stencil, the irony of the pink board the and gun stencil.

I have surfed every month of the year, every year for over 4 years and that record is in serious trouble if the waves don't come in the next 7 days (I have a journal of every surf I've had to prove it). My last surf was a couple of days after you and I were out (the 21st of May!!! In some parts of this beautiful world this record would seem simple, perhaps even easy, but in the north Atlantic... it's one I'm very proud of and don't want to end. Looks like solid 3 foot, 6 to 7 sec. period waves (sarcasim) on Wednesday. Guess I'll take it if it's all that comes.

Holy crap!! Sounds like winter in little ol' PC where a surf is a month apart at times.... better start using that snow shovel to dig yourself outta this mess!

P.S. Don't look at my blog unless you need to groan out loud....

Nice. Must be hard looking at that Bonzer...

Your Wend story will be out imminently. Pay us a visit, pick up some mags and get some waves...

Pete,

Shit I'd love to come out there again. Who knows when. I do need some waves though. Next will be a skateboard and bikes quiver shots.

That's a little sad. At least you've got poop to pick up while waiting for some waves (or your next trip to Oregon). If you want a fun poop related project, install a doggie dooley digester in your yard. Throw the crap in, add water and bacteria, and watch it dissolve into the earth. Fun stuff.

I have plenty of dog shit in my front yard and I don't even have a dog... incase you need a job in between surfing with us in Oregon...

...god damn, now you are going to force me to do a quiver shot.

Lawless,

You start trimming your quiver RAS knows a guy in your area dying to get back in the water but with a lack of $$. Will work for waves!

Where's the quad? Figured you'd have one?

Hope you get some soon, otherwise pray for an active tropo season and be sure to stay in shape. Be back on the left coast early Septmeber. Hoping for some New England right point action.

Very nice. I paddled out the other day....and didn't catch one wave. Not even white water. Does that count as a surf?

FINALLY! Though most won't care, figured I should at least keep you up to date. Hit the water today- record lives. Waist to a tad over but still a surf. Wind messed it up pretty bad before RAS could get on it after work- sorry bro.
