Death of Dog House

These photos were taken in late November. Dog House was our go to spot for a while. It was good on most swell directions and the bluff protected the waves from heavy winds. Although there were many days when it didn't look like this generally it was fun.

Unfortunately for us, this place is posted with trespassing signs and in the last few months the enforcement of these signs has caused us to stop going. I think we will return some day but fow now we'll just let the heat cool off.

That's the good thing about Oz, Ras, EVERY beach has to have public access. You can't block people out. The only exception is if it's on a military facility... and if you can get to the waves by water, that's cool too.
Looks like a nice spot bugger it.

All Oregon beaches are available to public access. (Thank Governor Tom McCall....of "Welcome to Oregon...enjoy your visit, but don't stay" fame.)

Dig the cranberry bog pic.....matches my mood this eve. Red...

Damn that sucks. I would, and I am sure you will be looking, to still try to find a way in.

Love those spots.

Hopefully you don't give up on it.

No Trespassing signs are just meant as guidelines, right? wink, wink.

Ras, as a fellow NS who's surfed that spot for years, there have been a few run-ins with MPs. Even went to higher-ups and got the go-ahead to surf it. Enough people walk their dogs and bird-watch in there. Don't worry too much about it.

Anon -it's funny I surfed this spot the day after that post. if you get there at first light it's unlikely the heat will be around. I like the wave but the peak is shifty and it's hardly ever perfect like some of our points often are.
