hulling around

alex kopps espouses a unique aesthetic. he is also a proponent of the hull. displacement looks to be a sort surf art flick, if there is such a thing, with edgy editing and lots of high speed trim. i've never surfed a hull, nor have i seen one. seems like they'd go really well on our super long and plentiful point waves...

any of you ride ‘em? how do they work backhand?

These boards are wild - I'd love to try one, though not in Oregon's cold and unpredictable surf. A warm point lineup sounds perfect...

Beautiful video footage.

Love the hulls. Give it a try. Reccomend Andreini or Liddle. The Andreini's shapes are more user friendly for the first time atttemps. I recently purchased a Liddle and have had some unreal waves at Malibu on it. Backside does take some work. But once you figure them out backside there are a blast. Good Luck.

and don't limit yourself to pointbreaks... they work where ever your mind is open and there's face to trim.
